St. Pius X Alumni Jim ’88 and Cheryl Maslowski Ross ’91, are perfect examples of that commitment. They have generously shared their time, talents, and resources with both the St. Pius X community and the Northland community, making a lasting impact on countless students and families
In 2009, Jim founded the Northland Catholic Warriors Parochial Football League. Through this program, he and many dedicated coaches have built lasting relationships with players and their parents while introducing families to the values and opportunities of St. Pius X.
In 2016, Jim also played a key role in reviving the Warrior Pride Booster Club. The Booster Club has become a tremendous partner to the school, supporting athletics, activities, and scholarships while bringing Warrior families together in support of our students.
Cheryl has been just as dedicated. Even before she became a St. Pius X parent, she was helping the Advancement Office with admissions and serving as a liaison for families from St. Andrew and Warrior Catholic Football, always eager to share the great things happening at St. Pius X.
In 2014, when their son Dominic entered St. Pius X, Cheryl took on even more volunteer roles. She became the official team mom for the football program in 2020, providing constant support to players, coaches, and staff. She has always been willing to help the Advancement Office in any way needed and has been an incredible advocate for our school.
For two years, Cheryl was instrumental in the success of the Warrior Gala, securing many of the silent and live auction items. In 2023, she and Jim served together on the Gala Chair team.
Simply put, Jim and Cheryl Ross are always willing to step up when St. Pius X needs them. Their passion for our school, their generosity, and their dedication to our students and families have made a difference in ways that will be felt for years to come. They truly represent the spirit of the Giuseppe Sarto Award and are most deserving of this recognition.
Jim & Cheryl are parents to St. Pius X Alumni Dominic ‘19, Anthony, ’21 and Vinny ‘25; current student Charlie, ‘27; and future Warrior Gianna ‘33.
