To register for the ACT, go to:   https://my.act.org/account/signin?location=https://my.act.org   and create an account .

• Complete the registration
• School Code is 261-697
• Upload a photo
• Designate (by code -- user friendly on the website) up to 4 schools to receive the score
• Designate that your high school receives the score as well
• The writing exam is optional unless a college or university's application specifically requires it to be taken
• ACT Testing Fee for 2021-2022 is $60.00, payable by credit card.  https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/registration/fees.html 
• 3-4 days before the actual testing exam. print your testing ticket from the website to take with you to the testing site
• If you are requesting special accommodations, you must indicate that when you register.  A licensed doctor's diagnosis AND a neuro/psychological evaluation must be provided to the school counselor to upload for accommodations' requests.  After 3 years, it can be "renewed" so that the formal diagnosis represents a three year window from its initial date.
• On the testing day, do the following:  arrive 30 minutes early, have two #2 lead pencils and an approved calculator, have your testing ticket and photo ID with you as you enter the building; leave cell phone in the car. Schools have differing policies regarding water and snacks
• Of special interest to all test takers is that they can order the TIR (Test Information Release) which is only available December, April and June. It costs about $20 and returns the test’s questions, answers, and the student’s answers.

• SPX Students are highly recommended to take a genuine ACT by the end of one's sophomore year.  Such a score is required of any student aspiring to take PreCalculus or ACCP College Algebra.  The data provided will assist a student in exploring career choices AND in seeing where (s)he is in relation to the ACT College Benchmark scores
