While our student body is primarily Catholic we welcome students of all faiths. We work hard to make this experience a positive one for you and your family. St. Pius X High School accepts transfers of students going into grades nine, ten and eleven. Generally, St. Pius X does not accept transfer students entering their senior year, unless they are transferring from a Catholic school outside of the Kansas City area. If a senior is admitted to St. Pius X High School, he/she must fulfill all requirements necessary for graduation.
To be considered for enrollment students must:

Demonstrate successful completion of course work up to the semester they are entering St. Pius X High School

Prospective students and their parents are welcome to visit St. Pius X. Please contact Shelby Hennen to schedule a tour at 816-453-3450 x117. Shadow Days are limited to 8th Grade Students.
St. Pius X reviews and accepts applications for international students October through June, with admission being granted for the beginning of the academic year. St. Pius X accepts students who are enrolling as freshmen, sophomore or juniors*. St. Pius X does not accept international students mid-year. If a student wishes to participate in Athletics they will need to go through a MSHSAA approved agency. Click here to view agencies
Because St. Pius X does not have an ESL program, decisions to admit international applicants will be based on:
English Proficiency (TOEFL Junior Score of 840 or above)
Previous Academic Merit
St. Pius X will process the I-20 paperwork for all international applicants after they have been accepted and are enrolled. It is the sole responsibility of the international applicant to schedule necessary appointments within their home country to obtain a student F1 visa.
* Students requesting admission for senior year will be reviewed, enrollment may be granted but a diploma from St. Pius X will not be issued.
International student enrollment fee is $675.00 and tuition for the 2021-2022 school year is $10,200*. A non refundable enrollment fee must be paid at time of enrollment. Full tuition payment for international students must be received by August 1, 2021.
Financial Assistance is not available for International Students.

Visits to the school are limited to prospective students and their parents or guardians. The administration is readily available to visit with interested families and conduct a tour of the building. On occasion, prospective students will be allowed to visit classes for a portion of the day. We invite interested eighth grade students to spend a “Shadow Day” with a St. Pius X student between October and March. The St. Pius X High School tradition is rich with nearly 60 years of strong academic and athletic programs. St. Pius X is a place where students and faculty actively work to find solutions through excellent classroom instruction and interaction. We educate nearly 400 students each year and 98% of our graduates go on to college. We continue to focus on our mission to educate each student to their full academic potential as well as enhancing their growth of Catholic values.
Through a diversified curriculum, offering a variety of core and elective courses, we challenge each student to reach their academic potential. Our students are committed to learning and receive distinguished honors that include Commended National Merit Students, Bright Flight and National Honor Society. We offer daily prayer and a value-centered approach in every class. Students have the opportunity to attend Mass three times a week. In addition, Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are offered.
We offer 15 AP & College Credit Classes through our partnership with local Universities. Classes are available to sophomores, juniors and seniors. During their four years at St. Pius X the Class of 2020 amassed 795 College Credit Hours.
