Honors courses require more homework and cover more material at a faster pace than regular courses.

AP (Advanced Placement) 
Courses designated Advanced Placement courses conform to the guidelines set forth by the College Board. The AP Exam is given at the end of the school year.

ACCP (Advanced College Credit Program) 
Courses designated  as Courses conform to the guidelines set forth by the University that sponsors the class. At St Pius X, ACCP courses are currently offered through Rockhurst, UMKC or Missouri Western.

Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies (caps)
SPX has a partnership with Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies allowing participants to spend half of each day of their senior year in the CAPS program. Students are immersed in professional environments, engaging in curriculum developed by industry professionals and program instructors – ensuring that what is taught in the classroom is relevant to the workforce.

A+ Program
The A+ Scholarship Program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools who attend a participating public community college or vocational/technical school, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools. St. Pius X has been a designated A+ school since 2016 when legislation allowed non-public schools to participate in the A+ program
