Stand Up for Life is going to be an engaging morning of praise and worship, dynamic speakers, and the Holy Sacrifice of Mass. All the youth in the greater Kansas City are invited to discover the joy of living as a son or daughter of God.
How do I register?

1) The ACT registration deadline for the February ACT test date is Friday, January 8th.
2) Seniors who need transcripts sent will need to have 52.5 service hours completed toward graduation by the resumption of school January 5, 2021. Reminder that service hours: 1) need to come from SPX, parish, or approved organizations under the "Faith and Service" tab on SPX's main website: 2) need to be turned in to the main office within two weeks of completion. It is the student's job to complete the form with the adult's signature, and not anybody else's responsibility.
3) The Absolute Reviews is extremely happy to announce its Second Annual Content Writing Scholarship for encouraging budding creative writers of your institution and it couldn't be merrier than ever as this time we are offering a Scholarship of USD 2000.

SCHOOL CANCELLATION/SNOW DAY COMMUNICATION
We use an automated system to communicate School Closings to you. For snow days, the call will be launched between 5:30 - 6:30 a.m., or the night before if we know ahead of time. All parent phone numbers that are in PowerSchool are the ones utilized for this call. Candy Grams are for sale at lunch this week in the gym foyer! They are only $1 each and your student can send holiday messages to friends! Student volunteers are collecting $ for the Candy Grams all lunch periods.
Sweatpants
The tribe sweatpants are ALL in. Students have been notified this week. Please ask them to pick yours up in the Armoury either after or before school.
MURPH’S MOMENT:
1) ACT Dec 12: students are reminded that for the ACT on December 12th, they need to print off their admission ticket so that they can gain entrance to where they intend to take their ACT assessment. If a student has not yet uploaded his or her photo to their ACT account, they must do that prior to printing the ticket.
2) For those parents who need FAFSA completion assistance, look at my College Calendar HERE for the January 19th dates. Important to finish this ASAP. Robin Stimac from Maple Woods can do a group virtual session for the FAFSA for our parents on Jan 19. If we have multiple parents who would like help, there will be a scheduled time viz ZOOM sent to their emails.
3) Service hour reminders for all students, especially seniors who still need 45 hours toward graduation to have transcripts sent.

Junior Jack Mosh broke the Single Season Passing Yards record during Saturday’s Semi-Final football game. The previous record of 1,925 yards was set in 1999 and held by Nick LaBruzzo. Jack broke the 21 year record in the first half of the game and the new record held by Jack currently stands at 1,984 yards.

Although it will look a little different this year we are so grateful to our cafeteria staff and our Parents Association and Booster Club for offering our FREE Christmas Lunch for our students, faculty and staff next Tuesday, December 8th! Thank YOU!
Our menu this year offers some of our student’s favorites! Chicken tenders, mac & cheese, salad, roll, Christmas cookies, bottled water (water courtesy of Quality Vending)!
FINALS
Because of the increase in COVID cases recently, we are making the following changes to the end of the semester and our final exam schedule. These changes will allow us to keep our current room schedule and ensure ALL students remain six feet apart during these tests. It will also give our teachers time to make out several versions of their exams to ensure test security from one day to the next. We apologize for any inconvenience, but know that our building will remain open if you have a problem getting here to pick up your child. or if they have a scheduled practice.

We will be celebrating this Liturgical Season by decorating the Chapel, hanging advent wreaths around the school and decking the halls! So, get your advent wreaths ready! 2) For those parents who need FAFSA completion assistance, look at my College Calendar HERE for the January 19th dates. Important to finish this ASAP. SCHOOL CANCELLATION/SNOW DAY COMMUNICATION
We use an automated system to communicate School Closings to you. For snow days, the call will be launched between 5:30 - 6:30 a.m., or the night before if we know ahead of time. All parent phone numbers that are in PowerSchool are the ones utilized for this call. If your cell number changes, please log into the parent portal in PowerSchool and update there in order to receive these calls. We will also post messages on our Social Media and Website.
