The SPX Parent Association exists to promote the commitment of parents in a faith-based environment. We support Catholic education, in an environment commanding excellence to benefit all students. The major expectations of all members are active involvement, effective communication and well-balanced sponsorship of classroom and school activities.
We welcome all parents to join our organization! The PA is in charge of the concession stands at all of our sports, organizing parent social events and fundraising events, providing grants of equipment/needs for our teachers and sports teams, selling spirit wear at various events and assisting with the maintenance of our facilities.

The Parents Association is in charge of the concession stands at SPX. We have one fundraiser in February every year and are also responsible for the banners and billboards in the gym and at the sports complex.
All funds raised by the Parents Association are used for teacher grants, grants to the endowment and contingency funds as well as the annual Christmas Luncheon, refreshments for Back to School Night, Open House and New Parent Orientation. We have provided trophies for sports teams. The PA donates funds to the golf tournament every year and teacher appreciation gifts at Christmas. Your support is needed to continue the PA contributions to St. Pius X High School. It is the best way to meet other parents and get involved. We have monthly meetings August thru November and January thru April. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm in the conference room.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SPX PARENTS REGARDING YOUR ANNUAL CONCESSION OBLIGATION
St. Pius X requires each family to work one concession shift per school year. Each family is assigned one shift (either on the Fall or Winter schedule) no matter if your student plays a sport or not. Only one parent is required to attend (or another adult in the family, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc). Your student is NOT elgible to take your shift...
There is a buyout option of $500 if you do not wish to participate. HOWEVER, if you choose this option then you must contact Toni Calcara before September 1, 2022. Afterwards the buyout option is $600. Scheduling the families is not a simple process. The Fall schedule is set immediately before school starts and the Winter Schedule is set in early November. "Buying Out" at a later date makes it difficult for everyone.
