St. Pius X Catholic High School is proud to welcome home a familiar face and dedicated educator—Katie Teson Wells—as the newest member of our Counseling Department for the 2025–2026 school year!
A graduate of the SPX Class of 1997, Mrs. Teson Wells returns to her alma mater with deep roots in our community and a heart for Catholic education. After 24 years of service in the Park Hill School District, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role as school counselor. Her impressive journey in education began at the University of Missouri–Columbia and continued with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Webster University. She is now completing her second Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling—making her dream of supporting high school students in a more personal and impactful way a reality.
In her own words, “It is a true blessing to come back home and serve the students and families of this incredible, faith-filled community.”
Mrs. Teson Wells is driven by a mission to walk alongside students in their academic, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. She aims to help each student discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and thrive in all aspects of life. Her dedication to nurturing the whole student makes her a perfect fit for the SPX family.
And her connection to the Warrior community runs even deeper—she’s also a proud SPX parent! Her daughter, Olivia, will be a junior this fall, her son, Johnny, is joining the freshman class, and her youngest, Caroline, is a fourth grader at St. Therese.
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Teson Wells back to St. Pius X and look forward to the many ways she will bless our students, families, and staff.
Welcome home, Mrs. Teson Wells—and Go Warriors!
